Finally got around to playing this and loved it! Really cool and uneasy atmosphere, and the use of colours is excellent.
I also had the issue with it being too small and not scaling with the window size, but the built in Windows magnifier (Windows key and '+' to turn on, Windows key and 'ESC' to turn off) made it the perfect size, so it was fine :)
Really fun take on the genre! I would definitely [spoiler] for the Mistress again, repeatedly.
Just out of curiosity, are ratings intentionally disabled for this game? I only see a "Rate for Velox Turbo 2" button under "Add To Collection" instead of the usual "Rate this game" button.
i think it's because the jam rating overrules the normal rating! but you can actually rate anything by adding /rate?source=game to the link if i'm not mistaken.
Ah, thanks, that URL worked for me!
absolutely adored this!! what a creepy, almost visceral take on the theme for velox turbo 2 - i was absolutely smitten with how fast this hooked me and quickly made me play again. so smitten by the ending!! great work!
(Also has no commentary.)
Like another one said, it is short and sweet, with still some really bits of creepy and terror, as you described about your game.Visuals are very stunning and also amazing! love the DS style UI with pixelly visuals, and I also love the other UI menus are also attached to the buttons as well, and highlight as you check each on them. BGMs and SFXs are pretty good. Overall, like your other games I played several(?) months ago,I had fun!
That was amazing!! Thank you for submitting into my game jam, also!! The Tokimeki Memorial style GUI and gameplay really fit the theme perfectly. Amazing skill in Renpy, Short and sweet, and fantastic replay value.
great game as always npckc !! what an honor!! <3
thanks for running the jam! 🙂
Love it, teehee!
is there any way to make the window appear bigger? im really excited to play this but its way too small for me to read and i dont see any options to make it bigger
in the options you can switch to fullscreen! also you can stretch the window larger.
ive tried both however the screen remains small and difficult to read
huh that's interesting! sorry i don't have any suggestions then besides using the magnifier on your system. on my screen (windows) changing to full screen also makes the game bigger, but it might have some issues on different screen resolutions.
Same issue here! I'm on Windows and the game UI stays centered and quite small, whether in stretched windowed or fullscreen mode.
Me too, unfortunately! :(
I hope you don't mind, but I looked through the scripts and the issue was the configuration variable in the gui.rpy file. Specifically, the "config.adjust_view_size" variable.
It seems to prevent the game resolution from scaling with the window size when switching to fullscreen, at least on my 1920x1080 monitor.
A quick and dirty fix would be to comment out the variable, but I'm not sure if that somehow affects the rest of the game's GUI.
For now, if anyone wants to apply the fix without editing the files themselves, you can download it from my Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TscDK_T4BJ-6LTdAQEL7SY83wFzg1Xcr?usp=sharing.
You can then overwrite the scripts.rpa file in the game folder (e.g."days-of-saturn-win-linux\daysofsaturn-1.0-pc\game\scripts.rpa" for PC). I hope it helps!
